Job Summary
Evaluating responses to test questions, the part-time Illinois and New York Scoring Associate will work remotely to assess teacher candidates' answers while participating in scoring discussions and maintaining quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate responses to test questions from Illinois and New York teacher candidates
- Internalize scoring standards and engage in consensus scoring activities with other scorers
- Recognize and discuss various types of bias and implement strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring
Required qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher
- A current teaching certification in the relevant language and recent teaching experience
- Alternatively, educators from colleges/universities with relevant degrees and teaching experience
- Native or fluent speaker of the language with a college degree
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain a confidential work environment
