Job Summary
To support remote education initiatives, the part-time Illinois Certified ASL Educator will deliver virtual instruction for ASL I classes, develop lesson plans, and engage students in a relationship-focused learning environment while working on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Teach the school's curriculum on the district's virtual platform for ASL I classes
- Develop lesson plans aligned with the class curriculum and track student performance
- Engage and nurture student learning through creative and thoughtful strategies
Required qualifications
- Active, USA state-issued teaching certification in ASL
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
- Access to a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet
- Participation in a virtual skills teaching demonstration and background check required
