Job Summary
To provide measurement-based, culturally humble episodic care to patients in acute crisis, the full-time Illinois Licensed Acute Care Psychiatrist will work remotely, evaluating and treating patients across multiple emergency rooms and psychiatric crisis programs while collaborating with onsite professionals and utilizing evidence-based practices.
Key responsibilities
- Simultaneously evaluate and treat patients in crisis across emergency rooms, hospital medical floors, and psychiatric crisis programs
- Direct and implement psychotherapeutic treatments and prescribe medication for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
- Collaborate with healthcare treatment teams to determine timely patient dispositions and provide culturally competent care
Required qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist with unrestricted, independent licensure
- Experience providing psychiatric care to all age groups in acute crisis settings
- Established and updated CAQH and FCVS profiles
- Advanced technical proficiency in telehealth, including experience with multiple EMRs
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds
