Illinois Licensed Associate Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Legal Counsel to provide legal support across various commercial, corporate, compliance, and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters with guidance from senior attorneys
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts under the direction of more senior attorneys
• Support M&A transactions and significant litigation, working closely with outside counsel and senior internal counsel

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from a fully accredited U.S. law school
• License to practice law in the state of Illinois
• At least 3 years of post-Juris Doctor legal experience, ideally with law firm and in-house counsel exposure
• Demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
