Job Summary
A company is looking for a HIM Clin Doc Integrity Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts inpatient chart reviews to ensure appropriate DRG assignments and documentation
- Coordinates with healthcare staff to clarify diagnoses and procedures and documents findings in CDI software
- Provides education on CDI topics and reviews DRG denials for appeals as necessary
Required Qualifications
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Illinois
- Associate's Degree in a related field
- Experience in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) and clinical bedside care
