Illinois Licensed Claims Representative

Job Summary

Handling liability and property claims under close supervision, the full-time Illinois Licensed Claims Representative will investigate and adjudicate claims, ensuring compliance with state laws while working remotely from the Peoria Branch Office.

Key responsibilities

• Investigates and adjudicates claims, verifying coverage and maintaining reserves while documenting claim files
• Evaluates and negotiates claims, recognizing subrogation opportunities and initiating payment actions within designated authority
• Responds to inquiries from policyholders, agents, and other parties involved in the claims process

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years of related claims handling or customer service experience, or equivalent educational experience
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
• Successful completion of Introduction to Insurance (INTRO) and Introduction to Claims (AIC 30) preferred
• Ability to obtain appropriate licenses as required by state within 45 to 90 days of employment
