Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Conducts inpatient chart reviews to ensure appropriate DRG assignment and documentation
Coordinates with healthcare staff to identify and record diagnoses and procedures
Educates peers and providers on CDI topics and reviews DRG denials for appeals

Required Qualifications

Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification
Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) within 6 months if licensed in another state
Associate's Degree in a related field and Nursing
Experience in clinical bedside care and Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI)
