Job Summary

A company is looking for a Consultant - Distribution Planning Engineer - DER.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage the interconnection of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) across the power distribution system
• Perform hosting capacity, protection, power flow, and voltage studies to assess DER impacts and recommend mitigation strategies
• Oversee project schedules, coordinate cross-functional inputs, and mentor less experienced engineers

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in electric utility planning
• Proficiency in CYME, Synergi, or ASPEN Power Flow
• FE/EIT certification required
• Experience with large-scale DER studies (1 MW-10 MW)
