Illinois Licensed General Ledger Manager

Job Summary

Managing a team of accounting professionals, the full-time Illinois Licensed General Ledger Manager will oversee payroll accounting, accounts payable, and monthly variance analysis while ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the general ledger in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly manage and develop the accounting team, prioritizing workloads and conducting performance reviews
• Oversee payroll accounting processes, including journal entries and reconciliations, while maintaining payroll SOPs
• Perform monthly flux analysis and ensure all accounts owned by the team are audit-ready and compliant

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 6-8+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on month-end close responsibilities
• 2+ years of experience managing or supervising accounting staff
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system is required
• CPA or active pursuit of CPA is preferred
