Illinois Licensed Genetic Counselor
Job Summary
Providing expert telecounseling services, the full-time Illinois Licensed Genetic Counselor will deliver pre- and post-test support for various genetic tests while serving as an internal resource for clinical staff in a fully remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver genetic tele-counseling for tests including PGT-M, PGT-A, POC, and carrier screening
- Support and train clinical staff, including reviewing patient cases and conducting educational webinars
- Participate in protocol development and regular team meetings with other genetic counselors
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from an accredited ABGC program and ABGC certification
- Experience in pre-conception and/or assisted reproduction therapy genetic counseling is desired
- Experience with carrier screening
- Empathy and respect for patients and their situations
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
