Job Summary
Teaching up to 27.5 hours per week, the part-time Illinois Licensed Hospitality Instructor will plan and deliver courses in hospitality leadership, management strategy, and guest experience while supporting student learning and progress in Skokie, IL.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans and deliver engaging lectures on various hospitality topics
- Evaluate student progress using assessment tools and provide academic advising for growth and retention
- Organize field outings for student enrichment and participate in program improvement initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in hospitality or a related field
- At least two years of related work experience or specialized training in hospitality if the degree is not in the field
- Ability to effectively facilitate project-based learning and assess student performance
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with teaching advancements
- Willingness to participate in campus-wide instructor in-service meetings
