Illinois Licensed Legal Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Legal Counsel with extensive legal experience to provide strategic support across various legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide proactive legal advice on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and lead small to mid-level M&A transactions
• Develop and implement legal policies, manage outside counsel, and mentor Associate Legal Counsel

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from a fully accredited U.S. law school
• License to practice law in the state of Illinois
• At least 6 years of post-Juris Doctor legal experience, ideally with both law firm and in-house exposure
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
• Proven ability to provide legal advice on a broad spectrum of corporate and regulatory matters
