Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder to assign accurate coding for diagnoses and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-CM/PCS & CPT/HCPCS codes to diagnoses and procedures for various encounters
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and abstract necessary information for billing and reimbursement
• Collaborate with revenue cycle team members to facilitate appropriate billing processes

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of a college-level course in medical terminology
• Must obtain one of the following certifications within 1 year: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, or CPC
• Basic knowledge of ICD-CM/PCS and CPT coding guidelines
• Basic keyboard and software application skills
