Job Summary
Acting as a liaison between the Health Plan and providers, the full-time Illinois Licensed Member Advocate will ensure access to care, address member complaints, and promote education while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and respond to member complaints and formal grievances, identifying and resolving access barriers
- Investigate access and cultural sensitivity issues raised by various stakeholders, including Member Services and advocacy organizations
- Participate in community organizations to understand health care needs and update educational materials accordingly
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid preferred
- Must reside in Illinois
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship
