Job Summary

A company is looking for a Prior Authorization Nurse Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities related to the Clinical Prior Authorization Department
• Obtain medication prior authorizations and manage peer-to-peer escalation cases for pre-certifications and appeals
• Create and maintain accurate documentation in patient records and manage correspondence with insurance entities and healthcare providers

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; Master's prepared preferred
• Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in Illinois
• Three years of relevant nursing experience, with at least one year in medication prior authorization and/or pre-certification preferred
• Experience working in partnership with healthcare professionals in an office setting
• Knowledge of online authorization systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications preferred
