Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy and medication management in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose psychiatric disorders while providing care to patients across the lifespan
• Conduct individual psychotherapy and prescribe psychotropic medications, monitoring patients' responses and side effects
• Document patient histories, treatment plans, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations

Required qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
• Current Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
• Experience in Addiction and Mental Health treatment
• Ability to work with patients aged 13 years and older
• Familiarity with EHR systems and timely documentation practices
