Job Summary
To support a growing mental health practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, diagnose psychiatric disorders, prescribe medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose patients' mental health conditions, providing individual psychotherapy and prescribing appropriate medications
- Document patient histories, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with HIPAA and national standards of care
- Collaborate with team members to develop and evaluate treatment plans, ensuring effective patient care and education
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health, with a focus on treating adults and those with severe mental illness
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and dual-diagnoses related to substance abuse
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and documentation compliance
