Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing mental health practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy and medication management remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose psychiatric disorders and conduct individual psychotherapy for patients across the lifespan
• Order diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and monitor patients' treatment responses
• Document patient histories, treatment plans, and compliance with regulatory standards in the electronic health record

Required qualifications

• 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
• Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
• Experience in addiction and mental health treatment
• Ability to work with patients across the lifespan, including those with severe mental illness
• Familiarity with EHRs and compliance with HIPAA regulations
