Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, diagnose psychiatric disorders, prescribe medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and diagnose psychiatric and mental health conditions for adolescent and adult patients
• Prescribe psychotropic medications and monitor patients' medication usage and side effects
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulations

Required qualifications

• 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
• Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
• Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
• Ability to work with patients across the lifespan (ages 13 and up)
• Familiarity with treatment planning and comprehensive assessments
