Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing mental health practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy and medication management in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose psychiatric disorders while conducting individual psychotherapy for patients
• Prescribe psychotropic medications and monitor patients' medication usage and side effects
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulations

Required qualifications

• 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
• Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
• Experience in addiction and mental health treatment
• Ability to work with patients across the lifespan, including those with severe mental illness
• Familiarity with treatment planning and comprehensive assessments
