Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, and provide individual psychotherapy and medication management in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose psychiatric disorders and conduct individual psychotherapy for patients across the lifespan
- Prescribe psychotropic medications and monitor patients' medication usage and side effects
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record while adhering to HIPAA and regulatory standards
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Comfortable working with patients ages 13 and older and those with severe mental illness
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and treatment planning
