Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patients' mental and physical status, diagnose psychiatric disorders, and conduct individual psychotherapy
- Prescribe medications, monitor usage and side effects, and educate patients on treatment options
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulations
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Comfort working with patients across the lifespan (ages 13 and older)
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and treatment planning
