Job Summary
To support a growing mental health practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy and medication management in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, diagnose psychiatric disorders, and provide individual psychotherapy for patients across the lifespan
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, educating patients on their risks and benefits
- Document patient histories, treatment plans, and outcomes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulations
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and/or substance abuse dual-diagnoses
- Experience working with adults in need of general mental health and/or severe mental illness treatment
