Illinois Licensed Radiation Therapist

Job Summary

To support patient care in a full-time, onsite capacity, the Illinois Licensed Radiation Therapist will instruct and prepare patients for radiation therapy, demonstrate knowledge of treatments and equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Instructs and prepares patients for radiation therapy or simulations
• Prepares supplies and equipment necessary for accurate treatment positioning
• Assesses patient pain and provides direct patient care under supervision

Required qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• IEMA/IDNS in Radiation Therapy Technology (new graduates must obtain within 3 months of graduation)
• ARRT Licensure or eligibility for licensure (new graduates must obtain within 3 months of graduation)
