Illinois Licensed RN Admission Specialist

Job Summary

Facilitating and coordinating direct admissions and interhospital transfers, the full-time Illinois Licensed RN Admission Specialist will ensure appropriate patient placement and compliance with regulatory guidelines while working remotely after an initial in-house orientation period.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate clinically appropriate bedding for all patients, excluding Behavioral Health
• Facilitate direct admissions and transfers, ensuring compliance with EMTALA guidelines and effective communication between healthcare providers
• Monitor and report on metrics related to patient placement and scheduling to ensure optimal throughput

Required qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Illinois
• Associate's Degree or College Diploma in Nursing
• Experience in nursing and patient admissions
• Knowledge of EMTALA guidelines and hospital admission processes
• Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
