Illinois Licensed RN Auditor

Job Summary

To ensure accurate billing practices, the full-time Illinois Licensed RN Auditor will conduct audits of inpatient, observation, and outpatient accounts, analyze data trends, and provide education to clinical staff, all while working remotely during standard daytime hours.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily audits on inpatient, observation, emergency department, and outpatient infusion accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Track and analyze charge anomalies, reporting findings to clinical department directors and providing necessary training to staff
• Collaborate with Revenue Integrity leadership to plan and conduct audits and internal control evaluations, presenting results to the leadership team

Required qualifications

• Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Experience in auditing and compliance within a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and payer regulations
• Ability to manage complex projects and analyze issues at a high level
