Illinois Licensed RN Clinical Document Specialist
Job Summary
A company is looking for an RN Clinical Document Integrity Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts inpatient chart reviews to ensure accurate DRG assignments and appropriate documentation
- Coordinates with healthcare staff to identify and record diagnoses and procedures, and performs second-level reviews as needed
- Educates peers and providers on CDI topics and reviews documentation for DRG denials to assist with appeals
Required Qualifications
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification from AHIMA
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Illinois
- Associate's Degree in a related field
- Experience in clinical bedside nursing and Clinical Document Integrity (CDI)
