Job Summary
Supporting the scheduling of various procedures, the full-time Illinois Licensed RN Navigator will manage pre-procedural requirements, provide patient education, and ensure follow-up for outpatient PCI patients, working remotely with a day shift schedule of four 9-hour shifts per week.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure completion of pre-procedural requirements and maintain communication with patients, schedulers, and procedural staff
- Provide patient education regarding procedures, medication instructions, and dietary requirements prior to scheduled procedures
- Conduct follow-up calls to outpatient PCI patients to verify adherence to medication orders and address any concerns
Required qualifications:
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Illinois
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days from the American Heart Association
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a clinical setting related to procedural scheduling and patient education
- Knowledge of tests, medications, and contraindications associated with procedures and anesthesia/moderate sedation
