Job Summary
To facilitate timely patient transfers, the part-time Illinois Licensed RN Specialist will manage communication between referring and accepting physicians, assess patient needs, and ensure appropriate care placement while working evening shifts remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Expedite consultations between referring patient-care providers and receiving physicians to ensure timely transfers
- Utilize established protocols to assess patient acuity and coordinate acceptance, admission, and transfer processes
- Maintain communication with referring facilities post-transfer to ensure continuity of care and patient satisfaction
Required qualifications
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Illinois
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- College Diploma in Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
