Illinois Licensed RN Specialist
Job Summary
Facilitating patient transfers into and out of Carle Hospital, the part-time Illinois Licensed RN Specialist will manage communication between referring and receiving physicians, assess patient needs, and ensure timely transportation while working remotely during night shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Expedite consultations between referring and receiving physicians to ensure appropriate patient transfers
- Utilize established protocols to assess patient acuity and coordinate admission and transfer processes
- Maintain communication with referring facilities and provide follow-up to ensure continuity of care for patients
Required qualifications
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Illinois
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- College Diploma in Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Strong clinical assessment skills for patient evaluation
