Job Summary
Facilitating patient transfers into and out of Carle Hospital, the part-time Illinois Licensed RN Specialist will manage communication between referring and receiving physicians, assess patient needs, and ensure timely transportation while working evenings and rotating weekends remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Expedite consultations between referring and receiving physicians to ensure appropriate patient transfers
- Utilize clinical assessment skills to coordinate admissions and transfers, maintaining communication throughout the process
- Document all transfer-related information accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system
Required qualifications
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Illinois
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- College diploma in Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
