Illinois Licensed Senior Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual Statutory financial statements to meet regulatory reporting requirements
• Advise operational segments on accounting treatment and support internal and external auditors
• Identify and manage process improvement projects and assist with state filing requirements

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in insurance or financial services
• Familiarity with statutory accounting principles, US GAAP, and SEC filing requirements is a plus
• Experience with Workday Financial Management and Workiva is advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Office products, particularly intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel
