Illinois Licensed Senior Counsel

Job Summary

Seeking an Illinois Licensed Senior Counsel in a full-time remote position, the attorney will manage the commercial contract lifecycle, collaborate with various teams, and support small acquisitions while developing into a generalist role across multiple legal practice areas.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end commercial contracting process, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements
• Build and enhance workflows by developing playbooks and utilizing AI tools for efficiency
• Assist with small acquisitions, including due diligence and transaction documentation

Required qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in Illinois
• Approximately 3+ years of experience in commercial transactions, either in-house or at a law firm
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with practical business judgment
• Experience with M&A or corporate transactional work is essential
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and technology tools in legal practice
