Illinois Licensed Senior Underwriter

Job Summary

Providing expert underwriting guidance, the full-time Illinois Licensed Senior Underwriter will evaluate risk, mentor team members, and collaborate with internal and external partners while working a hybrid schedule from one of the Chicagoland office locations.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and respond to underwriting inquiries promptly and courteously
• Mentor Junior Underwriters and assist Title Examiners with title-related questions
• Underwrite and service title insurance transactions, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements

Required qualifications:

• Illinois underwriting experience is mandatory
• Proven ability to evaluate complex risks and ensure compliance
• Experience in mentoring or training junior staff
• Strong knowledge of title insurance processes and regulations
• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including attorneys and escrow agents
