Illinois Licensed Special Assets Officer

Job Summary

Managing a portfolio of complex commercial loans, the full-time Illinois Licensed Special Assets Officer will develop collection strategies, negotiate repayment terms, and implement recovery plans in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop collection strategies and action plans for problematic loans
• Negotiate with borrowers and outside professionals to restructure credit and repayment terms
• Provide timely and accurate reporting to the Special Assets Manager

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
• Formal credit training required
• 3+ years of direct special assets experience
• Knowledge of commercial, real estate, and consumer lending
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
