Job Summary
Leading the structural engineering efforts for transportation and public infrastructure projects, the remote Illinois Licensed Structural Engineer will provide technical direction, manage project schedules and budgets, and mentor engineering professionals while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering for various governmental and municipal projects
- Prepare and review engineering analyses, technical documentation, and construction plans
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective engineering solutions
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of structural design experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering (Master's preferred)
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Illinois; SE preferred
- Experience with structural design of bridges and transportation-related structures
- Able to perform field investigations and provide construction-phase support
