Illinois Licensed Tax Associate
Job Summary
Supporting the company's indirect tax function, the full-time Illinois Licensed Tax Associate will manage sales and use tax reporting, assist with audits, and analyze tax data while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly sales and use tax filings and related journal entries
- Assist with sales and use tax audits and respond to inquiries regarding sales tax matters
- Maintain customer resale and tax exemption certificates and prepare year-end Forms 1099
Required qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Experience with multi-state sales tax filings
- Vertex experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with AI tools
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
