Job Summary

A company is looking for a Manager, Tax responsible for overseeing state and local tax filings and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads and assists with state and local tax return preparation and filing
  • Reviews and prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, and related analysis
  • Mentors and develops other team members while managing interactions with tax authorities


Required Qualifications
  • 5 years of relevant experience in an insurance company's tax function or public accounting firm's tax practice
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience with Premium Taxes and related systems
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based ERP environments, preferably Workday
  • Strong analytic and reasoning ability with a proven track record in process improvement
