Job Summary

To support patient care, the part-time Illinois Licensed TeleNurse will triage incoming patient calls, provide medical advice, and promote wellness while working remotely for 12 hours a week.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care during triage calls
• Identify emergencies and recommend appropriate interventions, including facilitating ambulance transportation
• Document all calls and maintain statistical data as requested, ensuring compliance with established guidelines

Required qualifications

• Current Illinois RN licensure and a graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in an acute ambulatory or acute care setting
• Experience in emergency room or home health preferred
• Basic typing skills of 40 wpm or greater and intermediate computer skills
• Ability to work every other weekend and 4-5 out of 9 recognized holidays per year
