Job Summary

To enhance patient care, the part-time Illinois Licensed TeleNurse will triage incoming patient calls, promote wellness, and serve as a resource and advocate for patients while working remotely for approximately 6 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the Nursing Process to assess and triage patients effectively via telephone
• Communicate calmly and clearly to provide appropriate medical advice and identify emergencies
• Document calls and maintain statistical data while managing patient appointments and care plans

Required qualifications

• Current Illinois RN licensure and graduation from an accredited nursing program
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in an acute ambulatory or acute care setting
• Experience in emergency room or home health settings is preferred
• Basic typing skills at 40 wpm or greater and proficiency with Windows operating systems
• Ability to work every other weekend and 4-5 out of 9 recognized holidays per year
