Illinois Licensed Toxicologist

Job Summary

Providing strategic guidance and scientific expertise, the full-time remote Illinois Licensed Toxicologist will conduct toxicological risk assessments and biological evaluations for medical devices, OTC, and cosmetic products to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic input for regulatory submissions and interact with global regulatory bodies
• Author toxicological and biological assessments for medical devices and cosmetic products
• Develop and implement strategies for biological evaluation in compliance with global regulatory standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related scientific field
• 5+ years of experience in toxicology, particularly in the medical device or closely related industry
• Knowledge of toxicology principles and global regulations such as ISO 10993 and FDA guidelines
• Experience with toxicological risk assessments and biocompatibility assessments
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in cross-functional teams
