Job Summary
Providing utilization management services, the full-time Illinois Licensed Utilization Manager will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient placement and insurance compliance for inpatient adolescent psychiatric care in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate patient placement and ensure insurance requirements are met
- Reviews patient admissions and records to determine the appropriateness of care levels and participates in treatment conferences
- Assists in quality improvement processes by collecting data, analyzing care factors, and participating in documentation revisions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training certification
- Experience in behavioral health settings
- Knowledge of community resources and third-party regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid
