Illinois Medicaid Data Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medicaid Subject Matter Expert / Data Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direction, guidance, and recommendations for Medicaid data warehouse implementation and operations
• Lead stakeholders on complex processes related to claims processing, eligibility, and third-party liability
• Identify state Medicaid agency data needs and recommend effective solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Over ten (10) years of experience in information technology, with five (5) years directly with State Medicaid agencies
• Strong understanding of claims, recipient/eligibility, and provider/enrollment data processes
• Proficient in data analysis using SQL, Excel, and large datasets
• Knowledge of CMS reporting requirements and relevant programs
• Ability to travel to Springfield, IL 2-3 times per year
