Job Summary
To support healthcare providers, the full-time Medical Licensing Specialist will ensure physicians and other licensed providers obtain, renew, and maintain their professional licenses while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, submit, track, and follow up on initial and renewal medical-license applications across applicable states
- Maintain accurate provider records, including medical licenses, DEA registrations, and board certifications
- Monitor expirations and send advance renewal alerts to providers and internal stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Proven expertise in medical licensing with 1+ years of hands-on experience
- Experience preparing, submitting, and tracking initial and renewal state medical licenses and DEA registrations across multiple states
- Ability to maintain accurate provider files and conduct primary-source verifications through official government databases
- Strong communication skills to liaise with clinicians and state medical boards
- Proficiency in tracking licensing turnaround times and generating compliance reports
