Job Summary
Ensuring accurate patient records and financial education, the full-time hourly Illinois Patient Financial Navigator will manage patient demographics, insurance coverage, and assist with financial responsibilities while working Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm in Peoria, Illinois, with the potential for remote work after training.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure complete and accurate patient records, including demographics and insurance coverage
- Provide financial education to patients regarding their out-of-pocket expenses and payment options
- Determine payer sources and assist patients with questions about bills and authorizations
Required qualifications
- Associate's Degree and one year of customer service experience, or High School Diploma with two years in a relevant setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft software and solid computer skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with experience in patient registration or financial assistance programs preferred
