Image Data Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Image Data Scientist in the Center of Excellence for Structural Cell Biology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement automated and semi-automated segmentation pipelines for volume EM datasets
• Apply machine learning and deep learning techniques for feature detection and 3D reconstruction
• Perform quantitative image analysis and manage large imaging datasets using high-performance computing

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, physics, chemistry, bioinformatics, computer science, data science, or related field required
• Master's degree preferred
• 1+ years of work experience in relevant areas or a Master's degree with no experience
• Experience in image analyses, image data management, and programming (e.g., Python, R, Matlab)
• Experience with image analysis platforms and scientific computing in an HPC environment
