Imaging Access Specialist

Job Summary

Coordinating patient access for diagnostic imaging services, the full-time Imaging Access Specialist will manage scheduling, insurance authorization, and communication with patients and providers in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule diagnostic imaging appointments and verify patient information and exam preparation requirements
• Obtain prior authorizations from payors and track authorization status while resolving any issues
• Serve as the primary contact for patients and providers regarding scheduling and authorization status

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Preferred experience with EHR in a hospital or multi-clinic setting
• Preferred 1 year of role-related experience or 2 years of general healthcare experience
• Understanding of insurance plans and prior authorization processes
• Proficient in EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications
