Job Summary
Providing essential customer service support, the full-time Imaging Scheduler will manage complex patient referrals and coordinate diagnostic imaging appointments within the Connected Care Center using EPIC and RIS systems.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality customer service to patients and healthcare providers, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
- Verify patient information and eligibility for services, ensuring accurate data entry and follow-up on authorizations
- Schedule multifaceted imaging appointments, serving as a liaison between patients, physicians, and support staff
Required qualifications
- One year of experience in a medical office setting with direct patient contact or one and a half years in a high-volume public contact role and six months in a medical office
- Thorough knowledge of PAS policies and procedures, with advanced user skills in PAS systems
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and online scheduling applications
- Strong customer service orientation and effectiveness in managing confrontational interactions
- Ability to work independently, both remotely and in-office, in a fast-paced environment
