Implementation Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Implementation Engineer II will perform fiber analysis for deploying modern DWDM communication systems, utilizing OTDR and power meter test equipment to troubleshoot and recommend repairs while collaborating with internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze OTDR and power meter test results, troubleshooting issues and recommending solutions for the field
• Train and assist engineers and field teams on fiber test methods and analysis
• Collaborate with internal teams on projects, fiber performance, and contract specifications

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience in telecommunications, engineering, or network planning
• Proficiency with OTDR testing, EXFO FastReporter 3 software, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to maintain positive interactions with internal and external customers
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience in analyzing fiber network construction and contract specifications
