Import/Export Operations Specialist

Job Summary

Coordinating air and ocean import/export shipments, the full-time remote Import/Export Operations Specialist will manage shipment logistics from booking to delivery, ensuring compliance and effective communication with customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate air and ocean import/export shipments and manage updates based on customer requirements
• Communicate with customers, overseas agents, carriers, and brokers to ensure timely shipment progress and resolve issues
• Maintain accurate shipment documentation and foster strong relationships with stakeholders to support compliance and operational efficiency

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in international freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation operations
• Strong understanding of air and ocean import/export processes and compliance requirements
• Experience in obtaining and evaluating freight quotes and managing shipment logistics
• Proficient in transportation management systems and logistics technology
• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience
